10 Questions with...Dr. Mark Looney

For our very first blog posting as Eagle Dental Center, we wanted to take some time to introduce you to our team! Let's face it...going to the dentist isn't fun for many people. We know that you guys sometimes can be apprehensive about coming in for a visit! But one unique thing about our practice is our extraordinary team members. We believe that our team will have you excited about coming back to see us! So to start things off, we are first going to introduce you to our very own- Dr. Mark Looney. Dr. Looney is the owner of Eagle Dental center and has been practicing dentistry in Texarkana for over 30 years. We asked him 10 random questions, and this is what we got!

1. What led you to choose dentistry as a career?

"My father and two uncles were dentists and I wanted to follow in their footsteps. It was an excellent opportunity for me to be able to help others."

2. When did you decide to be a dentist?

"It was my senior year of college."

3. What is the best part about being a dentist?

"Helping others."

4. What are your hobbies outside of dentistry?

"I enjoy turkey hunting, duck hunting and spending time on my tractor putting in work on my farm."

5.What is your favorite movie of all time?

"That's hard- I guess it's a tie between Swiss Family Robinson and Forrest Gump."

6. What song cheers you up no matter what?

"49 Bye Byes by Crosby, Stills, and Nash."

7. What is your favorite place to vacation?

"Watercolor Inn and Rosemary Beach in Florida."

8. If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

"Whole baked chicken and rice."

9. If you could meet anyone living or dead, who would it be?

"My grandfather on my mothers side. I never knew him."

10. What is one of your favorite quotes?

"Everybody dies but not everybody lives." William Wallace


Now that we know Dr. Looney a bit better, we can be sure that if we want to make his day we simply need to play some Crosby, Stills, and Nash or bake him a chicken with rice! Eagle Dental center is fortunate to have such an exceptional doctor leading them into the future.

Today we are talking to Bethany Samuels. A very important link for our practice, Bethany has been with us for 3 1/2 years, and we couldn't be more proud to call her a part of the Eagle Dental Family.
